If you are researching French-Canadian genealogy and can travel to Manchester, New Hampshire, next month, you should attend the American-Canadian Genealogical Society's annual Fall Conference and Business Meeting. I have attended several of these in the past and can tell you that they are worthwhile events.
This fall's session will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2004. The guest speakers will include Sylvie Tremblay of Ottawa; Regis Brun of Moncton, New Brunswick; and Robert Perreault of Manchester, NH. The American-Canadian Genealogical Society's research library, also in Manchester, will be open on Friday, September 24th for the convenience of those attending the next day's conference.
More details will be available at: http://www.acgs.org. I just checked that site and found that it has not yet been updated with information about this year's event. In the meantime, you can obtain information via e-mail from firstname.lastname@example.org
