The current e-newsletter of the U.S. National Genealogical Society reports that the organization plans to add two more people to the staff: a new Executive Director will be hired to fill a position that has been empty for nearly a year and a newly-created position of Director of Information Systems will also be added.

Search for NGS Executive Director will begin in January
At the recent board meeting we also made some very important decisions for the long-term success of the National Genealogical Society. We have now righted the ship financially and are ready to hire an Executive Director. Our goal is to have the Executive Director in place by the Nashville conference.
Search for NGS Director of Information Systems in first quarter.
We also recognize that the NGS web site (http://www.NGSgenealogy.org) is our greatest untapped asset. We plan to hire a director of information services in 2005 to oversee the web site, the Bible and family records project, and other technology issues.
