There's an unclaimed $1 million out there awaiting anyone who can solve a puzzle. The interesting twist is that the first puzzle clue states, "Tackle repositories." To be sure, the hint doesn't specifically say genealogy repositories, but then again, it doesn't say otherwise!
The jackpot is actually 12 jewels hidden in very public places around the United States. Think diamonds, think rubies, think the rarest, most perfect Kashmir sapphire.
To get any or all the gems, all you need to do is to decipher clues in the children's book, "A Treasure's Trove." The clues lead to a dozen 18-karat gold tokens. Author Michael Stadther, who hid each of the tokens himself, promises that they are all in public places where they can be accessed easily without digging, moving, or disturbing objects or structures. Once a token is in hand, it can be redeemed for one of the jewels.
And Stadther is releasing a clue not contained in the book for the first time this week: "Tackle repositories."
