The Aviator is a new film that recounts the life of Howard Hughes. It is an excellent film, especially for aviation buffs. I thought I would write a bit about his ancestry.
Howard Robard Hughes Jr. was born on December 24, 1905, in Humble, Texas. He was the son of Howard Robard Hughes, Sr. (died 14 Jan, 1924 of a heart attack) and Allene Gano (died 29 -Mar. 1922). Howard Robard Hughes Sr. was the son of Felix Turner Hughes and Jean Amelia Summerlin.
Howard Robard Hughes Jr. was married four times:
Ella Rice (m. 1 -Jun 1925, div 9 -Dec. 1929)
Terry Moore (secretly m. 1949, according to her)
Jean Peters (m. 12 -Jan. 1957, div. 18 -Jun. 1971)
Billie Dove
In addition, Howard Hughes had a number of girlfriends, including Carole Lombard, Marian Marsh, Ida Lupino, Lillian Bond, Mary Rogers, Nancy Belle Bayly, Katharine Hepburn, Ava Gardner, and Yvonne Shubert. It is assumed that there were numerous others that remain undocumented.
He had no children.
Howard Hughes graduated from Thatcher High School in Ojai, California. He attended CalTech and Rice University.

After years of seclusion, Howard Hughes died at the age of 70 on April 5, 1976, of renal failure on an airplane en route from his penthouse in Mexico to the Methodist Hospital in Houston. He was unrecognizable, and the FBI insisted on fingerprints to identify Hughes' remains.
One of Howard Hughes' legacies is the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, one of the richest and quietest charities ever created. It spends billions of dollars on medical research. I have a Baptismal certificate from Iowa showing that Huges was baptised on September 1905, a full 3 months before he was "born" - a feat even for Howard Hughes.

The only legaly binding marriages of HRH were to:
Ella Rice and Jean Peters. He was never married to either Terry Moore or Billie Dove. Ms. Moore was give a very small payout upon Hughes' deat because she was a convincing and sympathetic lady (as well as a good actress in THAT role).

Howard Hughes never graduated from Thatcher High School or any other high school.
Howard Hughes died of neglect at the age of 70 on April 5, 1976, NOT renal failure. He had enough drugs in his body (codine) to kill 10 ordinary men (he was an addict) as well as a half-dozen hypodermic needles broken off in his body (arms, groin). It is strongly suggested by the facts that someone adminsitered a final injection that induced Hughes' coma and, in the end, killed him.
Howard Hughes' legacy is the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, which was a tax haven so Hughes could avoid taxes all together. He used political persuasion (read "bribes") to keep that HMI tax exempt status.
Hughes made the rules, played the game his own way and in the end was the largest loser of all. The real tale of HRH is NOT a happy one.

My grandmother inherited the succession of Edward Hornsby, cousin of Howard Hughes. How was his estate distributed. We are told he was 8th in line but I began looking into this matter since my grandmother died and found family pictures never seen by the public with his entire family and docmentation confirming his claim to his estate.

My grandmother was Mary Winifrede Hughes, daughter of George Hughes and Mary Stanislaus Bolland. They came from Romford, Essex, England. I believe that Howard Hughes Snr and Mary Hughes (my grandmother) were brother and sister. Any information which confirms or disproves this would be appreciated. Thank you.

My great aunt was very good friends with Ella Rice's chaperone, Clara Yeaden. Supposedly Clara married the captain of HRH's yacht, but this would be much earlier than the Eleanor. Any info would be appreciated.

As Walter Winchell reported, I do exist. I am enjoining a fight to obtain all the assets of Howard Robard Hughes as specified in his will. I am not however going to bandy words with lawyers and be robbed again. This time my evidence has been drawn from within my own body, my DNA.

My case would be strengthened however if genetic samples could be obtained from others since obvious objections will be raised as to the circumstances of procurement. 1. For a sample of Shirley Cook’s (my Aunt and sister of Jean Peters) DNA, properly collected by a reputable firm and a strict and court admissible chain of evidence followed. Five million dollars.
2. For a second sample of Howard Hughes’ DNA which can be proven to be his and accompanied by sufficient sworn statements which are admissible in court. Ten million dollars.
3. For a second sample of Jean Peters’ DNA which can be proven to be hers and accompanied by sufficient sworn statements which are admissible in court. Ten million dollars.
4. For a verifying copy of the will from Howard Hughes to me in which he left me all his assets along with sufficient affidavits to make the will admissible in court. Twenty million dollars.
5. For DNA of second order relatives (my aunts, uncles, grandparents etc.) which can be verified and accompanied by sufficient affidavits to make them admissible in court. One million dollars each. Other samples will be compensated in line with their value in winning the legal enjoinment.
A total of no less and no more than fifty million US dollars total, are to be paid for evidence in this case. Any person or persons who can provide evidence of conclusive nature (slam dunk materials) as to my inheritance and the collusion of lawyers, judges and government officials to deprive me of my legal rights in the previous probate action of such nature as to permit summary judgment in my favor will receive the entire fifty million dollars plus five percent of any amounts awarded me over one billion US dollars in the US courts. My estimation indicates an award in excess of two hundred billion dollars is not out of range in this action.
Note: I am still a private person and this letter and any subsequent court action will not be construed to make me a public person. Any person or news organizations endeavoring to invade my privacy will be dealt with in a severe manner.

A warning: I have had close to a dozen attempts on my life (bullets parting my hair is not my imagination). If you're simply the curious, stay out of this. If you're a con artist, you are in the greatest danger since you really have nothing to bargain with so stay away. Curiousity has killed more than cats.
If you are relatives, back up your DNA in several places and give your lawyer a sealed envolope with your intentions inside before contacting media or me.
Jean Peters' death was pretty suspicious and she was the direct link DNA wise. Take that as a warning!
I have already contacted international news organizations so infomation sharing can't be contained with just US supression this time around. I have given journalists samples of my DNA so it doesn't matter if I die, the truth will still eventually surface.
This is a dangerous game an those who help will be rewarded greatly after the game is over. Those who meddle are putting themselves in needless danger.

I have heard some years ago that Terry Moore had a child with Howard Hughes,the child was born on his yacht in the mid 50s,the child was a girl, apparently Terry Moore stated that the child was born heard her cry, and was told the child passed away,have you heard this story?

Yes Rachael, I have heard of those comment which even if true would have no effect on the settlement of the estate. The legal issues are as follows.
1. Theft by unlawful taking (even by the supreme court) has no statute of limitations. Therefore the disposition of HRH's will is an issue as long as any genetic relatives are alive.
2. The bulk of HRH's estate was in Texas, Nevada and California, all of which only recognize an heir as legitimate if a. The parents are married in a RECORDED procedure before the birth of the child or b. The parents of the otherwise bastard child marry after the birth of the child (which is evidentily why Hughes married Peters). In that case the child becomes legitimate.
3. An innocent purchaser for value can obtain a good title to items purchased if they have no idea that another claim might exist (that is why the Hughes companies have changed hands so many times, in order to distance title as far as possible from the orginal theives). However, since the controversy over the heir and will was such a public issue, this may well be a precedent setting case. Since government, CIA legal collusion are likely and obvious, this whole affair is reversable and all the purchasers for value may likely only be able to recover their expenses and have to surrender all the profit the companies have generated since the theft.
This child by Terry Moore would have a tremondous EMOTIONAL standing but absolutely no LEGAL standing since Hughes "married" her in a pretend manner like a thousand other girls. She simply fell for an age old con by Hughes.

Howard Hughes III, my mother told me your father (Howard Hughes II) was her father. She was born in Washington D.C. on June 11, 1937. My grandmother was Indian and African-American and she was sworn to secrecy about her pregnancy, because interracial relationships were disallowed back in those days and she kept it a secret until she was on her death bed. Entirely possible,
One night in Houston (around that time), while entertaining several buxom ladies of the night, Hughes turned to a companion and said, "I wonder how many little bastards I have running around out there. It would be awful to have a SOB like me for a daddy."
Legally, since Hughes never married her mother, she wouldn't have inheritance rights. But she should have her DNA taken and recorded with a strict chain of evidence. Never know what might happen when all the Hughes childern get out of the woodwork. Might just be enough to go around. Getting her DNA analyzed is wise anyway so that her descendents and relatives can get free healthcare (Indian Blood) and the data banks have a great potential for curing things in the future.

Anyone reading these posts should bear in mind that there are literally hundreds of billions of dollars up for grabs. A common thread that has been occurring is whenever anyone sane posts logical information on this subject, the site gets papered with psychobabble, crude language and just general nonsense. Let me suggest to you that the process is not by accident. The money from the Hughes estate is being held by some very powerful people and they protect it jealously. Spreading verbal manure over the site is kind of like hiding the Hope Diamond in a cow pile. Most people won't even look because of the cow pile. I suggest you ignore the distractions and focus on the logic of the serious discussions. Why would the Hughes family settle for almost nothing unless the alternative was that they would get nothing? Makes sense doesn't it? What is the only scenario that would leave them nothing? The only one is if Hughes left it all to someone else and the lawyers knew it, had the will and threatened the family to settle!! Who is the only person that Hughes would leave it to? Obviously his son by Jean Peters just as Walter Whenchel and the Hollywood gossips reported in the 1060's. Consider, all the states Hughes kept his assets in recognize an illegitimate child as the legal heir after the father marries the mother. Jean would have had the child in 1954 and Hughes need to get her back from Cramer to marry her, if only for a short time to insure the legal claim of the child he intended to leave everything too!! When you think about it, a lot of the weird things Howard did make perfect sense now. He couldn't marry any of his other girlfriends because he had visited and decided that his son was the one he would leave everything to. He distrusted his lawyers and meant to circumvent them by giving the child legal status regardless of what his will was purported to be after his death. Doesn't this sound like typical Hughes planning? He always liked to keep an ace up his sleeve just in case and this time, looks like he was holding a doozy. Trouble was, the CIA and Maheu were also holding some powerful cards. More on that later. The information we used to make this deduction is from a confidential source so the facts will have to wait for now. 3. A review of the births in the surrounding counties for June-July 1954 may well reveal the missing heir. 4. A major city newspaper reporter was found in Charleston, W.Va. with his throat slit after investigating this rumor- he departed Louisville and traveled through this area before ending up in Charleston. Is it mere chance that some one considered him dangerous? Will his newspaper finally reveal to the public what story he was working on? 5. Why was a bugging system found in a small Ohio Valley town that was capable of intercepting and recording the conversations of the entire three state areas? You can find this in a small country newspaper. It was suppressed after the original story. 6. The Hughes expense accounts for 1954 to 1970 (it is debatable as to if he was alert enough to travel incognito after this) should also reveal charges made in small rural Ohio Valley towns that would help zero in on the living area of the heir which could then be checked against birth records. 7. Beware of following the usual records. Hughes was famous for making private arrangements. The clue will be expensive private services at the birth of someone who couldn't afford them. Remember the Hughes family is famous for having private well paid doctors who don't talk. 8. Look for a doctor who is from Jean's home area or HRH's home area who lived in a small Ohio Valley town. A doctor in one of the parent’s family or extended family would be typical. 9. Look for a high IQ test in the early 1960's among school children and remember the genius of the Hughes family is highly genetic. Look for any children’s of the heirs, IQ's to be elevated, perhaps extraordinarily so. In Statistics an outlier indicates an extraordinary event. Look for children who graduate high school early or whose grade schools had high ratings (schools in the last several decades have been fond of standardized ratings) in the small Ohio Valley Towns close to the expense/charge areas. The real clue would be a school with a high rating while ONE particular student attended (an outlier can have a tremendous effect) and then dropped off tremendously as soon as the child left. You may think this is clutching at straws, but REMEMBER THAT DOZEN'S OF PEOPLE WOULD HAVE SEEN THE HEIR AND HIS CHILDERN GROW UP, Widespread publicity is the key to memory jog that can solve this puzzle. Actually I heard about a real possibility in this vein. The guy had a Mafia representive call him up and offer a box of papers left over from an Uncle (in Houston) along with a reference to a couple of beach houses. I understand what you mean in the state of Nevada,California and Texas you must be married for the child to claim inherence,as its stated legally,Terry Moore and Howard Hughes where married in 1949. And she had their child in the 1950s,it appears that the child Howard and Terry had together is the legal heir to Howards estate! Apparently they never divorced,even though he married Jean Peters in 1958.Apparently that was not a legal marriage! What is the mystery where is Terry Moores daughter with Howard Hughes?

A marriage is not legal unless it is legally REGISTERED! The Tonapah wedding is the only one where that took place and evidently was for the purpose of legitimizing a child by Peters.

You have to analyze Jean Peters' carrer and private life to see that you have most dates mixed up. Here's some clarifications:
Jean made one film after the other from 1950 to 1954 (each lasting two and three months on the set). She normally took a week's vacation between films. I'm certain she never got pregnant in 1954. She couldn't have been with child without Fox noticing and taking her off a film. She made VICKI in April '53 and went into THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN in July '53(right after completing VICKI). She was back in Hollywood in August/September for interior scenes of THREE COINS and went into production of APACHE on October 18, '53, finished that one on December '53 (Burt Lancaster had an accident on horseback which delayed the one month scheduled production).
She had two weeks vacation starting December 12, '53, but flew directly to Florida to meet Stuart Cramer's parents. She'd met him on the flight back home from Italy (THREE COINS' location), and he saw her during the filming of APACHE and started courting her. Jean later told columnist Hedda Hopper that she was in love with Cramer.
In January '54 she was back in Hollywood filming BROKEN LANCE and was stranged from Hughes. She'd told Jean Negulesco (her THREE COINS director that if Hughes didn't marry her she was going to marry someone else). She even had an unpublicized romance with Robert Wagner during the filming of BROKEN LANCE and afterwards - until March, when Hughes' spies warned Wagner to bug off. In mid-April, she took a seven week leave of absence from the studio to marry Stuart Cramer in Washington and go on a honeymoon. Did she have Hughes' baby before her marriage to Cramer? It is possible, but very doubtful. Cramer's family were quite religeous and very influential in Washington politics. They were married May 29, 1954. Pictures taken at the wedding site verify she was NOT pregnant at the time of the wedding. The marriage to Cramer lasted 33 days and it is believed Hughes broke it up. In July, Jean was holed up at a house Hughes rented for her in Nevada awaiting an annulment of her marriage. However, days before her scheduled court appereance she disappeared and failed to sign the final divorce documents.
It's believed Hughes secretly moved Jean to Miami, but Cramer found out and soon followed his wife to try to patch things up between them. And so, they went back together. That summer Jean returned to Hollywood and Fox assigned her to A MAN CALLED PETER; which started filming September 5, 1955 and ended sometime in November. She could have had the child (if she had one) that summer, right before filming began on A MAN CALLED PETER, but it is also doubtful; since she went back to Cramer that summer.
After that, Peters refused several roles in films, but she was living in Holywood and Cramer was back in the picture. In an interview in April, 1955, Jean told Screen Stories Mag that she'd accepted the role in A MAN CALLED PETER (her last film) because her mother in law (Stuart's mother) liked the best selling novel based on the life of Peter Marshall, who became Chaplain for the US Senate. Curiously, Mrs. Cramer had been the real life Marshall's devoted parishoner.
After this last film, Peters vanished from the Hollywood scene and rumors were that Hughes had taken control of her life once again (they'd had an affair since 1946). She divorced Cramer on December, 1956, and married Hughes January 13, 1957. Hence, if Peters and Hughes indeed had a child, it was born either in the late forties or perhaps after A MAN CALLED PETER premiered in May 1955. Or maybe they never did have a child.
The Hughes son Walter Winchell refers to in his column is a thirteen or forteen year old. A mysterious boy that occupied one of Hughes' rented bungalows at the Beverly Hills Hotel circa 1958-60 and the billionaire had placed in the restricted foods diet (as he did himself, Jean Peters and her aunt). Some of Hughes' aides spilled the story to the columnist because they thought the teenager looked a lot like "the boss". He would have been born sometime in the mid-forties, though.

No Andrew, You have it mixed, Jean spent most of 1954 in Italy filming 3 coins in the fountain and stayed over after the movie was done. Rented a small stone bungalow on the coast and HH came to see her. It was here that an old Italian doctor delivered the bay and laid him in a crib made of roiled wooden dowel sides. It was here that Jean rejected the baby and wouldn't look at him and here that Hughes picked up the baby, held him at the window looking down the cliffs and decided that he need to hide the baby. He took measures that week along with help from the CIA to insure the childs future and then an FBI agent took the child back to the US and placed it instead of a brain damaged child in the household of a friend of a very powerful person in the Surpreme Court! History will out, inspite of all the idiots who are working to cover it up. The son has figured the whole thing out and I expect him to blow a media hole completly through the established order in the USA by exposing a 50 year conspirisy to circumvent the law. See if I'm not right!! You lawyers who stole Hughe's money would be smart to run for the timber now!!!

I don't think I have things mixed up. I have very reliable sources.
Jean Peters herself told Hedda Hopper during an interview for the Chicago Tribune, regarding the filming of "Three Coins": "It was maddening. Scenes at the fountain had to be shot on Sunday morning. We were there only a month and I never even got to see Venice." Her sister Shirley went to see her at the end of the filming of the picture and Stan Hough (her future husband, who was assistant director for the film) joined them for dinner most evenings. A female spy assigned by Hughes to watch Miss Peters, has talked about this and has confirmed the fact that they returned together to L.A. on a TWA flight the day after Jean's last scene was shot in Rome. It had a stop-over in Paris. A gentleman named Stuart Cramer boarded the plane there. He sat across the isle from Jean in first class, they started to chat, and by the time they got to L.A. they were an item. The spy, some members of the cast, Jean's friends and Jean herself have verified this episode. Upon her return, the actress told H.H. bluntly that if he didn't marry her she would marry someone else. Jean Negulesco. the film's director, also verified that fact, "She candidly told me about her decission to stop seeing Howard". And she did marry someone else. Jean married Cramer nine months later. How could jealous and posesive Hughes allow her to give him the cold shoulder, start seeing another man and make two more films right after having his baby?
Most important, where is the pretuberant belly that all pregnant women seem to have? It doesn't show in "Three Coins", or in "Apache", which Jean started filming a month after "Three Coins" was completed. Or in "Broken Lance" which was shot a month after "Apache".
There is also evidence that Jean Peters mostly ran around Italy with members of the cast and crew of "Three Coins" and stayed in a hotel their entire time in Italy and with the spy sharing the adjacent room. Hughes phoned her every night at 7 p.m., also verified by Negulesco, and there is no record that HH ever showed up in Italy. Besides, the spy confirmed that she had to deliver reports on Jean every day to HH via phone in L.A.
How much time did HH and JP spend in Italy? Or here's a better question: How long did it take for Jean's pregnancy to show and have the baby? A month? She started shooting interior scenes for "Three Coins" at Fox right after her return from Italy and less than a month later she was up in Sierra Nevada working in "Apache" (and she was openly seeing Stuart Cramer during the filming of that particular movie - and refused to allow Hughes to dispatch the female spy to the film's location).
