This looks like an interesting way to learn about genealogy and to see the Caribbean. The California Genealogical Society is sponsoring an eleven-day Genealogy Cruise to the Southern Caribbean. The round trip cruise departs from Norfolk, Virginia, on May 1 and returns May 12, 2005.
The speakers on this cruise will be Henry Hoff, editor of The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, and Eric Grundset, library director for the DAR in Washington, D.C. Eleven interesting lectures will be presented to participants while the Holland America Line cruise ship is at sea.
This is a perfect time for genealogists to bring their spouses and friends who can enjoy the ship's activities during the lectures. As a special bonus, Eric and Henry will each offer 15 half-hour consultations (one per cabin).
To guarantee space, reservations need to be confirmed by February 4, 2005. For more information, visit the California Genealogical Society web site http://www.calgensoc.org or email Jane Lindsey at library@calgensoc.org or contact All Cruise Travel http://www.allcruise.com or 1-800-227-8473. Participants must sign up with All Cruise Travel to attend lectures.
