The following is unverified but it is interesting: The genealogical tables of the book "Kentucky Marriages, 1797-1865" reportedly state that that Moses Alexander, 93, married Frances Tompkins, 105, on June 11, 1831, in Bath, N.Y. It is also recorded that the newlyweds were both found dead in their bed the following morning.
If you do a search on Google, you can find many sites that list this information although none of them seem to list any sources other than this one book.
Does anyone have access to the book "Kentucky Marriages, 1797-1865"? If so, can you verify this listing? Also, can you figure out why a wedding in New York is listed in a book of Kentucky marriages?
