Having added an FAQ section, a reference guide to the history of county government and a streamlined process for researching family histories, the Westchester County Archives expects that its rejuvenated website will continue to be a favorite for local history lovers.
The new website that is home for Westchester public history at www.westchesterarchives.com retains the prior site’s useful online indexes to some of the Archives’ records, but also includes several valuable new components for probing the county’s rich past.
By adding a section devoted to Frequently Asked Questions, a 24/7 reference desk is available to all visitors seeking basic information regarding access to the collection or ordering materials by mail.
More information may be found in the Westchester.com web site.
