In a few minutes, I will be leaving home and driving to the New England Regional Genealogical Conference being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning in Portland, Maine. This already is shaping up to be a great session with the largest sale of advance registrations that the organization has seen in years. In addition, NERGC typically receives a good number of walk-in registrations during the conference.
You can read my recent articles about the NERGC conference at http://eogn.typepad.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2004/12/genealogists_he.html and at http://eogn.typepad.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2005/03/new_england_reg.html. The organization's web site is also available at http://www.nergc.org.
Depending upon the whims of the computer gods and hotel telephone symptoms, I plan on posting articles from the conference every day to this newsletter's web site. I will be writing about anything new that I have seen as well as a report of the successes and any possible failures at the conference. In addition, I will be packing a digital camera and hope to post a few pictures here as well. If you cannot attend the conference in person, I hope to give you somewhat of a "flavor" of what transpired in your absence.
If you are planning to attend, I'll see you in Portland!
