Senator Majority Leader Bill Frist is in the news a lot these days. His latest problems involve the sale of stock in a company founded by his ancestors. The latest details of his problems can be found here .
Senator Frist certainly should know something about his family: he wrote the definitive Frist genealogy book.
Good People Beget Good People: A Genealogy of the Frist Family by Senator William H. Frist, MD, is available on Amazon.com and several other online book stores. The 448-page hardcover genealogy book was published in 2003 while Frist was serving in Congress. Reviews of the book have not been complementary.
The book is available as ISBN: 0742533360. You can read more about it on Amazon.com. You can have your own copy for only $50.00. (Someone at Amazon.com needs to learn how to use their spell checker, however.)
How many other Senators and Congressmen are genealogists?
I did not pay for this newsletter to get your political views, and that is exactly what this article is.

I don't see anything political here. One neutral statement that refers people to a bunch of news sites is a politcal statement? Everything else refers to his genealogy book.

There is no other possible motivation for including a link to "the latest details to his problems" than political commentary. Stock sales (an allegation, I might add, no wrongdoing yet proven) have nothing at all to do with genealogy. I too am VERY turned off by this slight-of-hand. Stick to genealogy, or you'll lose this subscriber.

I also do not see anything political in the newsletter article. Obviously, some people are just way too sensitive.
