Kenneth G. Aitken has started a new blog web site that should appeal to anyone who teaches genealogy topics. As Kenneth writes in his introduction:
The purpose of this blog is to serve as a source of ideas, information and inspiration for those who teach, lecture or organize genealogy events. Your comments are always welcome, though disgusting or rude remarks will be edited (or deleted) to protect the tender feelings of others. But there is room for dissent, insight from your own experiences and that sort of thing.
He has a nice start with ten articles already posted in the past seven days. The topics include:
- Case Studies as a Learning Tool
- New Years Resolution: Educate the Educator
- Creating and Teaching a Course, Simplified.
- Self-Directed Learning: Confessing to Tom
- Audio Conferencing Opportunities
- Audio conferencing. Can you hear me, now?
- What are you reading?
- Curriculum Change
- Handouts and Syllabus Material
- Risk and Hope: The Program Planner's Headache
This looks like a good site. At least it is off to a great start.
