Now the Salt Lake Plaza is changing its affiliation and name to become the Plaza Hotel at Temple Square.
The hotel was a member of the Best Western chain, but that affiliation apparently is canceled. The hotel now is to become a member of Luxe Worldwide Hotels.
Efrem Harkham, President and CEO of Luxe, explained, "The Plaza Hotel's decision to join the Luxe family is a testament of our position in the marketplace as a provider of highly personalized service. Despite a highly lucrative past relationship as a member of the Best Western chain, the Plaza decided to further its long-term objectives and maximize its presence as a business and vacation resort by partnering with Luxe." He added, "Our team of skilled professionals, many of whom have decades of experience within the hospitality industry, looks forward to promoting the Plaza's exceptional blend of comfort and distinction."
