The Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) is proud to welcome two individuals who have earned the credential of Certified Genealogist.
Sharon Gable of Suffolk, Virginia is a retired project manager. She holds a M.S. in Human Resource Management. Gable is President of the Family Research Society of Northeastern North Carolina, and a member of NGS and several local and state societies. She has authored several articles in genealogical publications and is working on a book on Norfolk County, Virginia marriages.
Christina Sachs Humphreys of Tucson, Arizona is a professional genealogist. She formerly worked as a paralegal specializing in appellate law. Humphreys has a B.A. in history from the University of New Mexico and paralegal certification from UCLA Extension. She has attended the National Institute on Genealogical Research and will attend the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research this summer. Her research specialties include missing heirs and German coal miners in Pennsylvania.
