Megan Smolenyak is sponsoring a context on her web site. She wants to know "whatever happened to Annie?"
The Annie in question wasn’t an orphan in the usual sense, but she is in a genealogical sense because her true story has been lost. Annie Moore was the first immigrant to land at Ellis Island. She arrived from Ireland with her brothers, Anthony and Phillip, on January 1, 1892. She was greeted with much fanfare and a $10 gold coin. It seems that she soon disappeared into America's melting pot.
Who can supply information about Annie Moore?
Details are available at http://megansrootsworld.blogspot.com/2006/07/1000-reward-for-ellis-islands-little.html
I am interested in finding Little Orphan Annie.

hi there is the $1000.00 dollar contest still going? I looked at the Ellis Island passenger list and only found a Annie Moore who arrived Jan 2,1892. I could not find one that arrived Jan1,1892. She was age 13. Is that the one you are talking about. How do you know her brothers names? Where did you get that information. Do you know where she went after she got off the boat? Thanks Jillene
