The following is an announcement from Linkpendium:
Linkpendium (http://www.linkpendium.com) has found and categorized its 5,000,000th link to genealogical data on the Internet. We currently categorize a total of
- 5,032,855 links, of which
- 4,492,238 are sorted by surnames worldwide and
- 540,617 are sorted by U.S. states and counties.
Linkpendium is by far the largest directory to genealogical resources on the Web. It is, to our knowledge, the second-largest human-edited directory of *any* kind on the Web.
Genealogists are more than welcome to recommend sites that should be included in the directory. Most submissions are reviewed and added to Linkpendium within one to two weeks.
We expect to continue growing our surname and U.S. localities collections, and to eventually provide locality directories for other countries and to find and categorize genealogical resources that cannot be easily categorized by surname or locality.
