WorldVitalRecords.com to add Everton Genealogical Library's Collection

The following is an announcement written by Walter Fuller, President and Publisher of Everton's Genealogical Helper:

Dear Family History Researcher,

It is with great pride and joy that I can make two very important announcements in this issue of The Helper - announcements that will not only mean additional benefits for you, our loyal readers, but for all who are involved in genealogy or family history research.

The Everton Genealogical Library's vast collection of unique books, newsletters and invaluable research material, will now appear online at a rapid pace as part of World Vital Records online subscription website, launched on October 4th.  WVR, directed by Ancestry.com founder Paul Allen, has partnered with Everton, and combining our Library and Library Online material with their rapidly growing list of highly useful research databases will offer subscribers a much needed web commodity - a reasonably priced and critically significant and comprehensive online research site.

If you are a member of our Library Online, your online membership (and Helper subscription) will not be affected - and you'll immediately gain access to a great deal of additional information through WVR.  If you're not already an Online member, don't miss the opportunity to sign up for the special, 2-for-1 introductory offer of a WorldVitalRecords.com combo, which includes a subscription to this magazine.  WVR is committed to a continuing stream of highly relevant databases and records, and they will digitize the material from the Everton Library far faster than we could on our own.  This is great news for you, for Everton, and family history researchers everywhere.

The other great news?  The Everton Genealogical Library, located in Logan, Utah, officially opened its doors to the public in early October.  Yes, much of the material will eventually be online in a digital format, but if you are in the vicinity of Logan or Salt Lake (a 2 hr. drive) you can now schedule some time (allow plenty, the Library is huge) to look through all of the books and material in person.  Our library has a lot of information you can't find anywhere else…and won't want to miss.

With the Library open, stay tuned for additional news about conferences and workshops in Logan that will include research sessions at the Everton Library.

Combining the Everton Library/Library Online with World Vital Records creates a major web research site, and The Helper just keeps getting better (and bigger) under Leland Meitzler's direction.  We are very excited about all this great news at Everton, and the resulting impact on our commitment to provide you with the best and most comprehensive educational and research tools and materials, at reasonable prices.

As always, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Walter Fuller
President and Publisher

This is fantastic, thank you

Is it just me, or is that the slowest site on the Internet? I went to see what they had to see if I wanted to join, but it's taking so long to load a simple page that I am not sure it's worth it. WIll I be sitting here next year waiting on the free newsletter page to load?
