The following rather cute press release was written by Mattatuck Consulting. Note the reference to www.1930census.com:
Trumbull, CT – December 4, 2006 – Mattatuck Consulting, a marketing consulting firm with specialty emphasis in the field of genealogy and family history, today announced the addition of several new entries to their collection of celebrity census profiles; including Santa Clause, Chris Kringle, Jack Frost, Rudolph Render, and Frosty Snowman. The Celebrity Census is one of several features on the popular 1930census.com Web site published by Mattatuck.
“Census records are certainly among the most valuable source documents for family historians,” said Dan Lynch, co-founder, Mattatuck Consulting. “As we head into this busy holiday season, I’m using these fun census entries to capture the attention of newcomers to the genealogy field, reminding them of the unique opportunities they have between now and New Years to gather and share information about their lineage.”
During the last decade, genealogy has seen a tremendous growth in interest, primarily due to advances in technology and the increased availability of content archives online. Activities that once required travel to regional archives and the use of microfilm can now be performed via the Internet from the comfort of ones own home. Content is being made available both by commercial organizations, as well as thousands of small nonprofits seeking to preserve and share their unique connection to the past.
“The celebrity census finds are simply a way to have fun with genealogy,” added Lynch. A popular speaker and writer, he often will use these as examples in presentations and articles to attract an even greater interest from the audience. Full details about these and other celebrity census entries can be found online at www.1930census.com.

I'm amazed and thankful for the flurry of email stimulated by this posting (thanks Dick). Some were kind enough to search other record sources to determine if any of our 1930 Census finds are still living. Well, I certainly didn't (and still don't) want to be the one to put out a press release about the demise of Santa Clause. This has motivated me and my small group of volunteers to finally categorize the 400+ other celebrity census finds we have so we don't all duplicate each others work. Happy holidays to all. Dan

ELF'S?!?? Elf's what? "Elf's" is possessive NOT plural. We here in Oregon learned that in grade school.
Not only that, the plural of "elf" is "elves."
