I recently wrote about the very large heritage show to be held in London on May 5 through 7, 2007. The greatly expanded show is expected to attract more than 15,000 family historians and military history buffs, as well as those interested in house history, historic travel, and more. Now Ancestry.co.uk, has become the title sponsor.
The following announcement was written by the show sponsors of Who Do You Think You Are? Live:
Since the trade launch of Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE the team have been inundated with applications for stands and currently there are 83 companies signed up to take part in this exciting new event.
The latest signing is Ancestry.co.uk, who will be the title sponsor.
Ancestry.co.uk has been operating since 2001 and with over 1 million registered users and 580 million searchable names is the biggest family history site in the UK.
Show Director Nicola Meadley comments: “We are very excited about the response overall and particularly our most important partner, Ancestry.co.uk. We are confident this event will prove to be a great success for everyone involved.”
Visitors to the show will be invited to explore their family history with the help of Ancestry.co.uk experts and so discover a wealth of information about the lives of their ancestors.
Ancestry.co.uk Managing Director Simon Harper comments: “We are keen to take visitors on a journey of discovery and demonstrate the information which is available to everyone and so are very excited about the opportunity to take our brand into the live arena.”
Other recent signings for the show include TV historians David Starkey, Dan Snow, Bettany Hughes and Saul David.
They will join other historians and experts to provide visitors with an engaging, entertaining and informative day out.
