National History Show in London - The Video
The intro to the Family History Show is now available on Roots Television. You can watch this video on your computer right now.
The video shows excerpts the recent three-day National History Show in London, England with more than 12,000 attendees. I suspect you will be interested in viewing the largest genealogy, history and heritage show that I have ever attended. Thanks to the folks at Roots Television, you can see it now. To watch the video, click on the following link:
If the above link does not work for you, try this direct link to Roots Television http://rootstelevision.com/players/player_conferences.php?bctid=900609673
More video segments should follow in the next day or so.
Hint: if you are on a dial-up Internet connection, you may encounter "jerkiness" as the video downloads and tries to play. If so, simply click on PAUSE. You will then see the video continue to download in the background and it will be stored temporarily on your hard drive. Then click PLAY once again and it should be much smoother as the video is retrieved at full speed from your hard drive.

It really is a small world - I watched that video, and thought "Hey I know that person standing in line waiting to get in" in the film at 1:12 seconds. So I sent the video link to him to ask if he'd gone to the event, and sure enough it's him.
You can run but you can't hide it seems :-))

Dick,
Thanks for sharing your video from the London conference. I'm now dreaming of the day when we'll have history events just as exciting, fun, and well attended on this side of the Atlantic.
