At the recent FGS conference, I had a chance to talk with Tom Kemp of GenealogyBank. This online database is less than one year old and already contains more than 200 million items of historical and genealogical interest. RootsTelevision videotaped our conversation and you can watch it now on your computer. In this video, Tom describes in detail the contents of GenealogyBank and how useful it is to genealogists.
You can watch and listen as Tom describes the major sections of GenealogyBank, including: historic newspapers with 93 million articles, Social Security Death Index (the only such online database that is updated weekly), 25 million obituaries, and more.
