Video: Tracing Ancestry with Genealogists

This Thanksgiving, New England Cable News reporter Greg Wayland went to look for his ancestors. He had help from people who know how to read those dusty old record books. He went to the New England Historic Genealogical Society where he obtained assistance from Brenton Simons and Michael Leclerc.

You can view this great video on your computer right now at http://tinyurl.com/yvhh8r.

The web site claims that you will need Windows Media Player 7 or higher to view the video. I didn't know that the first time I looked at the site so I first used a Macintosh. It worked perfectly, using Adobe Flash Player 9.

My thanks to Laura Prescott for telling me about this great video.

Great story. Greg was lucky to have had so many family pictures in his collection.

I love the ending where he states his desire to inscript the tombstone with his ancestors name.

It worked well on my iBookG4. I envy the clarity of the records he found. Mine are often difficult, if not impossible to read, and correspondingly difficult to copy.
