For years, Steve Flaig, a delivery truck driver at the Lowe's store in Grand Rapids, Michigan, had searched for his birth mother. This week he found her, working at the cash register at the front of the store.
For several months, he and Christine Tallady had known each other casually as co-workers. He knew her only by her married name. He eventually found his birth mother's maiden name and typed it into an Internet search engine. That search returned an address on West River Drive less than a mile from the Lowe's store. He mentioned it to his boss, and she said, "You mean Chris Tallady, who works here?" He was stunned.
Last Friday they met for the first time as mother and son. "I have a complete family now, all my kids," said Tallady, who has two younger children. "It's a perfect time of year. It's the best Christmas present ever."

I love stories like this. Congratulations to Steve and Chris. A holidae story that even Santa Claus would enjoy.

Wow! I thought I was excited when I found my maternal grandmother and her second family. I can't even imagine how exciting this would be!
