Nice tag, but I'm more impressed by the 8 letters that appear above it. 8-)

The local NBC station's Today show (5-7AM) in NYC had a report today about vanity plates.

Among the links was a listing of stats ranking states and provinces(Canada).

Since MA ranks down at #46, I guess that explains why you were able to get your plate. 8v)
NJ ranks #8! BTW, how much did it cost? NJ has a one-time charge of $50. The letter limit is max 7 ltrs.

Massachusetts vanity plates cost $50.00 with a six-letter maximum. That is why I left the "e" out of the word: too many letters.

Would you be more impressed if I pointed out that it is a 1996 Corvette with only 3,400 miles ? It has always been stored in a heated garage and reportedly has never been driven in the rain. I am not the original owner; I only purchased it a few months ago.

Dick, happy and safe miles. A '96 Corvette has lots of up and go! Enjoy.

Slow down!!!

Given the "creative" driving that some (not me or Dick, of course) in Massachusetts have learned to employ, it is not strange to find that few in our fair state choose to have vanity plates which are far too easy for those who witness that driving to remember and report. I have just purchased my first vanity plates and find that I'm much more aware of the moves I am making. My plate reads ILEX; see you on the pot-holed roads of Mass, BLOGGR!

Nice license plate, Dick. See you in KC.
