Well, this 72 year old born and bred Southern white redneck, retired US Navy Senior Chief is not happy with complete disregard of the US Constitution by the current occupant of the White House or with his heir apparent McSame. I will gladly and proudly vote for Obama.

I received this email from a genealogical internet acquaintance in Ireland back in Feb 08:

We have all become big Barack Obama supporters on account of his ancesters coming from Moneygall. I dont fully understand the whole election process over there,it sure is generating a lot of excitment over here.at moment. There seems to be a big mood for change in America at present time. I think the world will be a much safer place when George W goes.

This Canadian with American and Irish ancestors is cheering for Senator Obama, who we hope will soon be President of the United States.
Wish we would have someone like him in Canada!!

This newsletter does pertain to genealogy, right?
Then let's focus on the genealogy side and stop with the political issues please.

Ditto after Kathleens' comment !!!

I think the genealogies of public figures IS interesting and appropriate. Since we are all fascinated by this research (presumably) ... I think most would agree. Lighten up you two.

You've inspired me to renew searching on my County Westmeath KEARNEY line, thanks! :-)

Maybe I overlooked it, but what side of Obama's line is this- Maternal or Paternal?
