I recently had a chance to talk with Melinde Lutz Sanborn, FASG, about being a Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists, about a new genealogy certificate program available through Boston University, and about next year’s New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC). Luckily, a camera crew from Roots Television videotaped our conversation and you can watch it now on your computer.
Did you know that the American Society of Genealogists is the most exclusive organization in genealogy? Did you know about a new certificate program being offered at Boston University? You can learn about these topics and more at http://rootstelevision.com/players/player_conferences.php?bctid=1781124502.
The sound doesn't work for any of the FGS 2008 videos, but it does for all the older files.

The sound works perfectly on all the 2008 videos. I watch and listen to each one in its entirety before writing about it. I also see two or three other people here have written comments about the 2008 videos so obviously they watched and listened to them.

I get sound right through the music for Roots Television introduction and credits but as soon as the interview starts I can't hear anything--even with my speakers turned up full volume. I've heard other interviews with no problem. I've tried in both Firefox 3.0.1 and IE 6 and can get sound in neither even though I'm getting sound up to the point of the interview.
