Stacks at NY Public Library are Temporarily Closed

The central stacks in the Humanities and Social Sciences section of the the 42nd Street New York City Public Library are closed while the library works on a project related to the façade restoration. 65% of the General Research Material is not available, including the Milstein Division of U.S. History, Local History & Genealogy.

Thank you, Dick! I would be so disappointed/frustrated if I was going to NY from here in Oregon to work on my tree at this time. I appreciate you and your newsletter!

Am I glad I spent a couple of days there last January instead of planning it for this January. I'm grateful it is getting the attention it deserves but impatient for it to be done so I can return.
