A lot of genealogists have been joining Facebook. However, an article by Brian Stelter published in the New York Times questions the recent changes in Facebook's terms of service. Those terms of service used to give users the authority to remove content they created at any time. The new terms of service state that Facebook owns everything the users create and post to the service. Further, it added new language that now says Facebook can retain users’ content and licenses after an account is terminated. No matter what you say or do, Facebook owns your content.
