The South Dakota State Historical Society is seeking donations of written materials that convey state history. The State Archives, which is in the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre, collects such documents.
State Archivist Chelle Somsen says examples include letters, diaries, unpublished writings, photographs, maps, and other source material.
