Tony Burroughs is well-known in genealogy circles as a writer and lecturer but he also seems to have a "second career" as a TV host and guide. This is a bit late notice but Tony's appearance in the "The Real Family of Jesus," will be re-broadcast this Tuesday, March 17, 2009 on the cable television channel, "Investigation Discovery," a Discovery Channel network. You might be interested in seeing it either to see Tony in action or to see the somewhat controversial story.
This two-hour special follows the search of detective genealogist, Tony Burroughs, as he seeks to determine the family of Jesus -- who they were, how many there were, and what role they may have played in Jesus' life. Burroughs' findings from the gospels, historians and archaeologists challenge the traditional belief that Jesus was the single child of Mary and Joseph and provide evidence suggesting Jesus had a vast family network that inspired and supported him from childhood to death, and beyond.
Again, this will be broadcast nationwide on the cable television channel, "Investigation Discovery," a Discovery Channel network. Check your local cable listings for the broadcast time in your area.
