The Temple B'nai Shalom in Brookhaven, Mississippi probably is about to be donated to the Lincoln County Historical and Genealogical Society. Let's stress the word "probably." For one thing, funding could be a problem.
The society plans to maintain the building as a local history museum. The temple still must be deconsecrated, properly deeded and the historical society will have to raise more funds, but the first step in transferring ownership is complete.
