What about source citation ability? Love to see you do a review of this, Dick!

Does this program transfer the Record Identification Number (RIN) with a Windows Gedcom?

All my data is in Family Tree Maker. Can this data be transferred to the new MAC program without any problems? I am considering purchasing an IMAC in the next few months. Also, does it come with an instruction manual as I have never used anything than FTM. aufan1958@yahoo.com

Yes. You can move your data to most any other modern genealogy program, including MacFamilyTree.

Family Tree Maker (and most other genealogy programs) will export your data in GEDCOM format. You can then copy this file to your new computer and import the GEDCOM file into any modern genealogy program, including MacFamilyTree.

For details, see my earlier article, "GEDCOM Explained," at http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2008/08/gedcom-explaine.html
