Barbara Chase Bean, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, in Concord, New Hampshire with her family by her side.
Barbara was a member of the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists and the New Hampshire Historical Society, a past volunteer at the New Hampshire Division of Vital Records Administration, and a member of the Buntin-Rumford-Webster DAR chapter, where she was a past public relations committee chairwoman. Employed by Prodigy Online Services in the 1980s, she maintained a group forum on Revolutionary War Soldiers, as it was her nationally known genealogical expertise.
Born in Concord, she was the daughter of Elle R. and Dorothea G. (Horne) Chase and a 1942 graduate of Concord High School. She was the widow of Howard G. Bean, married in 1945 in Concord at the First Congregational Church, where she was a member at the time of her death.
