It is St. Patrick's Day. I was going to write an article about how to trace your Irish ancestry but there are two problems: (1.) I am not an expert on Irish ancestry and (2.) someone else already beat me to it.
Julie Miller is a professional genealogist, an excellent writer, and noted lecturer. She knows a LOT about researching Irish roots. Julie wrote an excellent article, Tips for Tracing Irish Roots, which has been published in the Broomfield Enterprise.
Would you like to read a brief, but excellent, introduction to researching Irish ancestry? Look at Julie's Tips for Tracing Irish Roots at: http://www.broomfieldenterprise.com/ci_14666087
UPDATE: The entire Bloomfield Enterprise web site appears to be offline at the moment. I tried the address above and then also tried http://www.broomfieldenterprise.com/ and received the same results. Both worked this morning but do not work right now.
I suspect the problem will be fixed shortly. Short-time web site outages are not all that unusual.
