UPDATE: The dinner is now fully booked and a wait list has been started. (We have already had one cancellation, a few hours after it was made.)
I am sorry we cannot accommodate everyone. Maybe next time I can rent a banquet hall someplace.

You are invited to attend the dinner for EOGN newsletter readers to be held Saturday evening, May 1, at 6:30 PM, immediately after the close of the NGS conference in Salt Lake City.
Unlike previous years, the dinner for this event has been planned in advance. It is a return visit to a restaurant that earned rave reviews when we visited a few years ago.
We will meet at the trolley stop in front of JB's Restaurant (the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel) at 6:15 PM and will ride the trolley a short distance to Z'Tejas Restaurant. We MUST be at the restaurant no later than 6:30 PM.
Z'Tejas is a Southwestern Grill restaurant with a wide variety of selections: steaks, seafood, chicken, barbecue, Mexican, salads, and vegetarian meals are available. Most entrees are between $12 to $22 with a few at higher prices. Adult beverages are available. More information about the restaurant may be found at http://www.ztejas.com.
To make it easier for the restaurant, we ask for one bill for the entire group. We will use the honor system. Please keep track of your charges mentally for food and beverages, then add your money to "the pot" at the end of the meal. We suggest you "round up" a bit to cover taxes and tip.
Like all the EOGN dinners, there is no agenda, no speeches, and no presentations. The plan is simple: you are invited to join a bunch of fellow genealogists for dinner.
WARNING: High noise levels expected. This is a rowdy bunch.
The attendee list is exclusive. Well, sort of. You must be any one of the following:
- A subscriber to EOGN Plus Edition
- A subscriber to EOGN Standard Edition
- Read the newsletter (either edition) online occasionally
- Know someone who reads the newsletter occasionally
- Promise that you will read the newsletter in the future
WARNING: The restaurant has a limited number of seats. Therefore, you must register in advance by obtaining a ticket online. (Tickets are free.) Once we hit the maximum number of available seats, no more tickets will be issued. This is required by the fire marshal's regulations and by the restaurant itself. (If the restaurant is full, you don't REALLY want to sit outside at the kiddie's table, do you?)
First come, first served. If you plan to bring a guest, you must obtain TWO tickets. Sadly, we cannot admit anyone not on the list. You MUST have a ticket.
Again, the tickets are free but you can expect to pay for your own meal and beverages.
