While I will be one of the speakers, other presentations will include:
- Voyages At Your Fingertips: Online Immigration Records - Melissa Shimkus
- "Our Military Heritage" and WeRelate: Two Digital Initiatives of the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center - Curt Witcher
- Photo Restoration Using Adobe Photoshop - Kay Spears
- Society of Civil War Families of Indiana Induction Ceremony & Indiana Genealogical Society Annual Meeting
The Indiana Genealogical Society will also hold a Seminar on Friday, April 9 at the Allen County Public Library, in conjunction with the 2010 annual conference. The theme of the seminar is "Preservation From The Bottom Up." Topics will cover preservation on the personal level, as well as the society, county and archive levels.
I am looking forward to this event. In fact, I hope to spend some time in the excellent Allen County Public Library's Genealogy Center, one of the largest genealogy libraries in the U.S. The Genealogy Center will be open from 6 pm to midnight on Friday, April 9 for conference attendees.
If you can be in Ft. Wayne this weekend, I suspect you will enjoy the conference. You can learn more at http://www.indgensoc.org/conference.php
