The following is a Plus Edition article written by and copyright by Dick Eastman.I just finished my third trip with the Apple iPad. I have been writing new articles with it almost daily during all three trips. First, let me tell you the answer. Then I'll explain the details.
Question: Can you blog with the iPad?
Answer: Yes, but I am using a MacBook laptop to write this article. That should tell you something.
The iPad is a marvelous device. It does a superb job at doing what it was designed to do: read books, play games, movies, and music, read and write email messages, and surf the web. It is a killer device at those tasks. I don't know of anything on the market that comes close to the ease of use of the iPad's included applications.
The eBook Reader is especially impressive. For the first time, I find reading books on an electronic device is actually easier (indoors) than on a paper book. Don't go outdoors into the sunlight with it, however.
Watching videos is equally awesome. The iPad made the long trip from Boston to Burbank go by quickly by playing a movie. The ten-hour battery life can be used to play movies on both the outbound and the return trips without recharging.
I use the iPad a lot to surf the web, read and write email, to read books, and occasionally to watch movies. I love it for all those features.
