The following is a Plus Edition article written by and copyright by Dick Eastman. You can find many excellent free Windows programs to download and use. Doing so will make your PC far more useful as you have a variety of useful programs and utilities to choose from. The problem is the difficulty of (1.) learning about all the useful free programs available, (2.) finding them, (3.) downloading each of them, and (4.) installing them. In addition, there are lots of options to choose from on some of these programs. The difficulties can be overwhelming, especially if you are not a software expert. Now there's a solution that simplifies everything.
This web-based installation service is one of the slickest tools I have seen. You simply go to the service's web page and look at the list of programs available. The list includes most of the more popular free Windows programs available today, including Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Skype, Google Talk, iTunes, Hulu, VLC, and more. The list includes web browsers, messaging, imaging, documents, antivirus, file sharing, utilities, compression, tools, and other items. The list is quite extensive; but, if something is not there, you can suggest it for a future addition to the list!
You simply click on the check box next to each item you want to download. For instance, if you want FoxIt Reader installed, simply click the box next to it. It is that simple. When you are done selecting the items you want to install, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen, and click on GET INSTALLER. That's it! There's nothing else to do. You then sit back and watch.
