New Zealand’s Family History Fair

Jan Gow sent information about a major genealogy conference to be held in Hamilton, New Zealand, on 16 to 18 July. Whether a beginner or an experienced researcher, this weekend will provide something for everyone.

The Family History Fair is being held at the Kingsgate Hotel with convenient access to the nearby Te Rapa Racecourse, Te Rapa WaterWorld, the Base Shopping Centre, Hamilton Golf Club, the Waikato Stadium (rugby), Waikato River boardwalks, Sky Riverside Casino, Seddon Park (cricket), Hamilton Zoo, and more.

Presentations will be made by genealogy experts from all over New Zealand as well as by Shauna Hicks from Australia presenting the seminar on Australian research and Marci Despain from Salt Lake City who will speak about New FamilySearch. Online access to FindMyPast, The Genealogist, OriginsNetwork, and other pay-to-view sites will be available at the Family History Fair at no charge.
