Peter writes:
The Gov Info Pro blog at http://www.governmentinfopro.com/ as an interesting post about a new resource prepared by a librarian at the Dept. of Justice entitled Public Records Resources Online: How to Find Everything There Is to Know About 'Mr. X'. Here is a summary of what is covered:
- Summary of public records on Mr. X ...
- His social security number is ...
- He was born / died ...
- He was married / divorced ...
- He lives / lived ...
- He owns / is licensed to drive ...
- He is a licensed ...
- His corporate affiliations ...

- His Web site / E-mail address ...

I suspect all of this information would be of interest to a genealogist.
I agree with Peter: these sites can be useful. I will point out that the sites listed are a mix of free and for-pay sites, some of which require subscriptions. However, many of those for-pay sites are available through your local library.
The article is available at http://www.governmentinfopro.com/ but eventually will scroll down the page as newer articles are added. For a more direct link to the How to Find Everything There Is to Know About 'Mr. X' guide, click here: http://www.governmentinfopro.com/PublicRecordsGuide.pdf
