Montgomery County, Texas police stopped a red pickup truck in order to serve a warrant to the driver issued earlier by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. After arresting the suspect, the vehicle was searched. Inside they found packages of syringes. When they opened up the bed of the truck they found twenty bronze vases, apparently from grave sites.
The Conroe Police Department reported earlier in the day that thirteen vases were missing from Conroe Memorial Park on FM 1314. Paul David McKinnon, age 52 of Porter, Texas, was first served the warrant for parole violation and then was also arrested for the felony theft of precious metal for each one of the vases. The total value of the vases is close to $8000 but they are worth about $100 for the scrap metal content.
