This sounds like fun: The Washington County Arkansas Genealogical Society will host Genealogy Jeopardy as part of its regular monthly meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. on August 8 at Shiloh Museum, 118 W. Johnson Ave. in Springdale.
This year’s competition will pit Benton County’s Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society against Washington County Genealogical Society.

Competitors will be playing for cash and prizes in categories including “Famous Washington County Women,” “Famous Benton County Men,” “Occupations (Old to New)” and “Arkansas History.” Guest moderator will be Joseph “Paul” Smith of Lewellen & Smith of Fayetteville. Barbara Lewis will serve as contest judge.
Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.
