The Godfrey Memorial Library has an online database created from Edward S. Laput's monumental effort of photographs of headstones with inscriptions of over 100 cemeteries with over 130,000 burial records in Middlesex County, Connecticut. Best of all, the online database is available free of charge. The database will grow some more in the future, thanks to Ed Laput and the volunteers assisting him.
The online database contains all of the cemeteries in Middlesex County completed to this date. The database will remain open to the general public through the end of 2010 by virtue of a grant from the Middlesex County Community Foundation/Connecticut Humanities Council Fund.

Perhaps the database has been online for some time. I'm not certain. I only saw it for the first time today after Harvey Hilton told me about it.
