The Alberta Family Histories Society is sponsoring a one-day seminar on October 16 that should be great. At least, I hope it will be great as I will be there and will be adding my two cents' worth to the presentations. I will be joined by Lyn Meehan (presenting on Records Interrogation 101 – Squeezing Records Until They Talk) and by Thomas MacEntee (discussing Social Networking – New Horizons for Genealogists).
The conference will be held at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, 1000 - 35th Street, S.E., Calgary, Alberta (just off Highway 2). The doors open at 8 AM with presentations starting at 8:30.

I am looking forward to my first trip to Alberta and I have been invited to spend some time sightseeing in Banff as well. That should be spectacular. Perhaps I'll post a picture or two here afterward.
