Skype for Android

Skype-for-android Skype is one of my favorite and most used computer services. I have written about Skype frequently (see http://goo.gl/2zQ5 for my earlier articles). Now Skype has released an official version for Android cell phones. It allows calling via 3G and WiFi. When you are abroad, Skype recommends that you connect to a WiFi zone for best value.

The Skype software is available free of charge. Calls placed to other Skype users are also always free of charge, even if the other user is half way around the world. Calls to and from old-fashioned traditional phones can be made at very low fees, much cheaper than the fees charged by telephone companies.
