AP Technology Writer Peter Svensson has published an article about converting paper to digital files. I wrote a similar article a few weeks ago about my plans, Converting My Personal Library to Digital. That article is still available at http://goo.gl/ssnqt
I was interested to read Svensson's article to see what he was doing differently than I am.
I found that Svensson's plans and mine are almost the same, except that he has already purchased the scanner that I have been looking at. He can feed in as many as 50 pages, after they have been cut from a book's spine, and the scanner will scan BOTH sides of each page in three seconds. Most competitive scanners take about 30 seconds to do the same thing. That makes a huge difference if you have a few thousand pages to scan!
