Every genealogist and family historian, from beginner to professional, will at some time confront the issue of source citations. Although great advances have been made in recent years to standardize and simplify citations, it is still too difficult. Mark Tucker has created a video that shows how citing online sources can be easier.
The example shown is in RootsMagic 4 software and can be used with Legacy Family Tree 7 and Family Tree Maker 2009. It probably could be adopted to other programs if the software producers made a few changes to their products. The technology to do this exists right now. Mark Tucker suggests that users should speak up to let their software producers know that users want this capability.
