Family Tree Maker® for Macintosh for U.S., U.K. and Australian Users Now Available in the App Store

Family Tree Maker for Macintosh has been available for immediate download from the Mac App Store since the day that store opened. (See my previous article at http://goo.gl/BJBK3.) Ancestry.com has since issued a new version, 19.2.1, that is now available in the United Kingdom, supporting Ancestry.co.uk, and also is available in Australia, supporting Ancestry.com.au.

The company's announcement of the new version states:

Family Tree Maker for Mac is built on the functionality of Family Tree Maker 2010, the PC-version of the software, and is constructed to take full advantage of the Mac platform in terms of technology and user experience.

System requirements for Family Tree Maker for Mac include:
  • Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
  • Intel-based Mac
  • Hard Disk Space: 500MB for installation
  • Internet access is required for all Web integration

Family Tree Maker for Mac is now available for download at the Mac App Store.
