ProGenealogists, a subsidiary of Ancestry.com, is hiring. The company is looking for part-time and full-time employees. Full-time positions include a "Genealogist Case Manager" (a professional genealogist) and an "Assistant Genealogist" (an entry level position) Both of the full-time positions are for employment in Salt Lake City.
Here is an excerpt from the job description for the Genealogist Case Manager:
This is a professional position with potential for excellent growth within the organization for the right candidate. The organization seeks an experienced and innovative individual who has a strong passion for genealogical research to communicate with and provide genealogical research for the company’s clients in a corporate setting. Only those candidates with strong research and communication skills, good project management skills, and 3 years professional genealogical research experience will be considered.
In addition, if you are a genealogy professional, hobbyist or someone simply interested in making little extra money and are willing to fetch records (obituaries, death certificates, etc.) or do research at your local court house, archive or library, you can register with ProGenealogists and be available for work anywhere in the country. These part-time positions are not limited to Salt Lake City work. The company needs part time researchers in many different locations.
