A descendant of Captain William Bligh will be discussing the notorious mutiny on the Bounty in 1789 with a descendent of the leader of the mutineers in a television programme in an episode of Find My Past on Yesterday TV at 9pm on November 10. This program will be available in the U.K., but not in the U.S.
Richard Fitzwilliams, a descendant of Captain William Bligh as well as a film critic, former editor of the International Who’s Who and royal commentator, will be discussing the famous story of Captain William Bligh of The Bounty who was set adrift in a long boat after the mutiny led by his First Mate, Fletcher Christian.
