Synium is very proud to announce two major updates today: MacFamilyTree 6.2 and MobileFamilyTree Pro 1.1. Both versions feature a new Tree Chart showing all connected persons in a family tree. Furthermore, several new reports and additional features have been implemented.

Tree Chart
The new Tree Chart displays all connected relatives to a specific person for up to 200 generations. This way, you get the big picture of your whole family tree.
Source Report
The Source Report displays all sources in your tree file including all entries in your database citing the source.
Family Quiz
MacFamilyTree 6.2 features the Family Quiz which previously had only been available in MobileFamilyTree Pro. New kinds of questions have been added to both versions.
Ahnentafel Report
Both new versions offer a new report, the so called Ahnentafel Report. It displays all ancestors of a person including person pictures and the narrative report for all persons included.
To Do Report
If you're working with To Do lists in MacFamilyTree or MobileFamilyTree Pro, the new printable To Do Report can help you organize your research.
Improved GEDCOM Support
Importing and exporting GEDCOM files has been greatly improved in both, MacFamilyTree and MobileFamilyTree Pro. This way, data exchange with other genealogy apps has never been easier.
Improved Charts
All charts in MacFamilyTree and MobileFamilyTree Pro have been optimized for performance. Especially on iOS devices, the performance gain is quite noticeable for larger databases. Furthermore, title and creation dates can be included in all charts.
Better Reports
Several reports like the Person List Report or the Kinship Report optionally show pictures of persons. The narrative report handles even more event types and the general layout of several reports has been improved.
MacFamilyTree 6.2 and MobileFamilyTree Pro 1.1 are both free updates for all customers who bought MacFamilyTree 6 or MobileFamilyTree Pro 1.0. If you own a previous version of MacFamilyTree (1,2,3,4 or 5), you can update to the most recent version for 12,50 US$ (normal price: 25 US$).
For new customers, MacFamilyTree is 29 US$ (normal price: 59 US$). MobileFamilyTree Pro for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is 7,99 US$ (normal price: 14,99 US$). MacFamilyTree requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later (10.6 Snow Leopard and 10.7 Lion is fully supported). MobileFamilyTree requires any iOS device running iOS 4.2 or later (iOS 5 is fully supported).
