In all the buzz surrounding Ancestry.com the past few days, the names of Facebook and Google keep popping up. However, Rick Aristotle Munarriz of The Motley Fool says that won't happen.
Actually, Munarriz does say that Ancestry.com could easily be gobbled up by one of the private-equity firms, not by the two companies mentioned so far. He claims that Ancestry.com would be a poor business "fit" for either Facebook or Google.
I have no idea if Munarriz is right or wrong, but his reasons seem to make sense. You can read his article in The Daily Finance web site at http://www.dailyfinance.com/2012/06/07/neither-facebook-nor-google-is-buying-ancestrycom/.
